唱片小册子有黑塞写给傅聪的信。黑色是德国获得诺贝尔文学奖的作家。年轻时候热爱肖邦，听过很多人的演奏，最后在晚年听过广播里播放傅聪的肖邦之夜，被傅聪征服，很想见一面。两人憾未能见面。

It was a Chopin evening given by a Chineseartist named Fou Ts’ong, a name was hearing for the first time and was that ofa man I knew nothing about: ages, chool, personality... I was interested by thefine programme and quite intrigued of course, by the surprising prospect of hearingChopin, the great love of my youth performed precisely by a Chinese. Well, he playedmagnificently! In a few minutes, this unknown Chinese gained my consideration andsoon my love. He was perfectly up to the task. I automatically attributed the highestdegree of technical perfection to him. The tenacity and Chinese skill allow forexpecting it. All the technique and all the virtuosity were indeed present. NeitherCortot nor Rubinstein would have done better.'[...]'  One single point, I would have liked to seethis ever-so-talented Chinaman with my own eyes.
