Description One day, the king of Monsalvat, Amfortas, was mortally wounded by the sorcerer Klingsor. According to the sacred tradition, only a "pure simpleton" can save him, who will see through repentance and sympathy. The king was wounded by Kundri, a magical girl in the power of Klingsor.
She repented of what she had done and sincerely sought to help. But the magic balm she brought from afar did not even alleviate Amfortas' suffering. Meanwhile, a young man was found in the forest who had broken the law. He shot a swan, not knowing that he was on sacred ground, where hunting is prohibited: after all, any animal is also sacred. Kundry recognizes him as Parsifal, the son of Queen Herceloyda. His mother raised the boy in ignorance, trying to save him from the fate of his father, King Gandin, who died on the battlefield. The knights have hope for the healing of King Monsalvat - after all, they have finally found a "pure simpleton" who may be able to heal Amfortas suffering from a painful wound.
The evil sorcerer Klingsor found out about Parsifal. Afraid of meeting him, he orders Kundri to seduce the young man. She resists, but is unable to overcome Klingsor's power. The girl reveals a secret to Parsifal (about who he is), talks about the death of his mother and tries to trick him into getting a kiss: but suddenly the young man sees the light. He rejects the girl, and she, cursing him, calls out to Klingsor. The sorcerer throws a sacred spear at Parsifal, and it freezes over his head. A young brave man intercepts the gun and draws a cross with it. The spell is broken: the evil sorcerer's garden is gone, Kundri is freed from Klingsor's power. The young man hurries to King Amfortas.
Parsifal is ordained king of the Grail (after all, Titurel, the previous king of the shrine, recently died). The young man heals Amfortas' wound with a sacred spear and removes the veil from the Holy Grail, when suddenly the cup shone in his hands. Freed from her curse, Kundri dies.
